Summary
Reporting to the Uptime Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for driving and achieving the purchasing objectives for the assigned portfolio within the Japan, Australian and China Purchasing Team. You will lead the activities with internal and external stakeholders to ensure maximum vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction. With around 2500 suppliers and a couple of billion parts you will be part of a highly complex, efficient business unit that is focused on delivering the best possible products and services to create value for your customers.
Reponsibilities
- Manage a purchasing portfolio for service parts.
- Rationalize the portfolio with consolidation towards responsive and service-minded suppliers and drive activities related to the supplier switch if needed.
- Define strategies for the segments in the scope.
- Forecast prices evolution.
- Manage risk mitigation and crisis activities.
- Drive all relevant activities to deliver on quality, delivery, cost, feature, technology, sustainability and risk management targets.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with internal cross-functional stakeholders such as Service Market Logistics, Spare Parts engineering, Commodity buyers, Quality, Sales etc.
- Secure overall good supplier relationship, to secure the best quality, delivery, cost, feature, technology, sustainability and risk management performance.
- Close monitoring of supplier performance and take corrective actions where needed.
- Scout and seek for new suppliers offering new solutions/new technologies.
- Report direct in line to the Uptime Purchasing Manager.
Requirements
- More than 2 years of experience in purchasing/supply chain/logistics/material management experience
- Previous experience in Purchasing and/or negotiation experience in a supplier/customer relationship. Automotive experience is beneficial.
