Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Selects PMs to be assigned for the respective projects
• Optimizes the Project Portfolio for the respective area in terms of economic success
• Supports the PMs to achieve project objectives (financial, scheduling and quality goals)
• Reviews project's planning to ensure proper project execution
• Requires a risk & opportunity management at the beginning of the projects
• Monitor the project's progress and requires corrective measures in case they are deviating from the plan
• Requests from the assigned PMs regular reports including escalation topics
• Reports the status of the assigned projects in accordance with the financial and quality KPIs supported by a valid tool and process set
• Ensure that professional change management is implemented in the respective projects
• Escalate issues out of the project portfolio if necessary
• In case of escalation, represent the interest of the customer center to all customers and negotiations
• Develops and coaches PMs according to the Project Management practice within the company’s competency model and Customer specific needs
• Actively support continuous improvement of project management organizational structure
• Influence the sub-contractor management strategy for all assigned projects
• Ensure an adequate profitability for all the projects in the Customer Center
Requirements:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering (Electronic, Mechatronics)
• Automotive Electronics Background
• Project Management Experience on Large or Medium project for more than 5 Years
• Experience leading a team of more than 5 employees
• Experience working in an international team for more than 5 years
• Business Knowledge in finance
• Experience working with Japanese manufacturers
• Fluency in both Japanese and English language
