Responsibilities

Obtain type approval of vehicles introduced to Japan
Documentation for TDS /PHP homologation
Report regulatory information and technical requirements to Italy and US
Application documents preparation support for vehicle homologation
Certification planning and conduct testing
Collecting and reporting upcoming regulations and rules
Maintain / update COP sampling test in production plants
Prepare homologation document of brand cars for obtaining the approval before SOS
Coordination between HQ and Japan team to gather necessary homologation information / Test report / Document / Certificate on time
Status / Progress report to manager about making application documents for vehicle homologation
Gathering the launching activity information from related department in Japan
Window to the authority (MLIT/NTSEL) for correspondence to homologation topic
Post approval process for registration
Management of COP sampling test at appropriate timing and volume

Requirements                           

At least 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry
Background of automobile engineering
Business level communication in English and Japanese
A team player capable of working independently as well as part of a larger team
A strong teamwork mentality

Preferred
Experience in homologation / Regulation field
Experience for dealing with ministries
Knowledge about the road vehicle act and related safety standard
Ability to analysis situations, root causes and design and implement countermeasures
Negotiation skills in English, TOEIC 700 or higher
Data analysis, advance PC skills
Advanced communication and liaison skills
Discretion and honesty

Join one of the biggest automotive corporations in the world and improve customer feedback by detecting defects, providing feedback to both customers and dealers and manage warranties. 

Responsibilities

• Has the responsibility of detection for all vehicles sold in his region and the responsibility of pre-analysis for all vehicles, powertrain in his scope
• Ensures the production of Issues (recorded in Altis/PLM/GIM system) for all issues (design, non-conformity or eventually After sales issue). This Technical Event must be assigned (and explained with the materials) to the right Business Owner (Serial life Quality Manager) and the right Engineering entity, person in charge to fix the issue. This Technical Event needs to be addressed with the correct priority (depending especially of severity and number of occurrences).
• Ensures KPI that the lead time to assign the issues and the success (coverage rate) are reaching the targets.
• Ensures to produces enough Issues in order to reach the product quality targets (3MIS) for all cars and powertrains in his scope.
• Ensures that all operations are done according CT corporate standards with a particular attention to safety issues and issues with media or legal risks. All actions must be recorded in the systems (Altis, PLM, GIM...).
• Demonstrates technical expertise and the ability to influence and challenge others to behave in ways consistent with the interest of the organisation.

Requirements                           

• 10 to 12 years’ experience in Automobile. 5+ experience in field or warranty quality.
• Experience working with automotive dealerships teams, Plant, Engineering
• Good technical knowledge on Vehicles and Powertrains.
• A team player capable of working independently as well as part of a larger team
• A strong relationship builder and negotiator
• Ability to drive for discontinuity and innovation
• Proven track record of leadership and change management
• Preferable existing knowledge of IPA markets for quick-start
• Business level English and native level Japanese
